Ocean Trading Corporation also has arrangements with manufacturers to produce chemicals exclusively for select clients under a secrecy agreement.

Mr. J J Shah, the man behind OTC began in 1973 supplying bulk drugs and chemicals to multinational companies in India. In 1980, expansion of activities enabled Mr Shah to add imported bulk drugs and chemicals to the list of products and in 1985 the Ocean Trading Corporation was born.

Since its inception in 1985, the focus of activities has been imports, domestic trading and marketing of bulk drugs to reputed Indian manufacturers and multinational companies in India. By 1992, Ocean Trading Corporation was representing a number of overseas clients and indenting of bulk drug intermediates and bulk drugs was added to the activity list and in 1994, exports of bulk drugs, bulk drugs intermediates and specialty chemicals became another major area of activity.

The Ocean Trading Corporation has established itself as a company of international renown and has been certified ISO - 9001 : 2002 CO for sub-contracted manufacturing, inspection, testing and supply of organic and inorganic chemicals. Along with imports, exports, domestic trading and marketing of bulk drugs development of new molecules and customized products for reputed international customers are increasingly becoming a core area.
